New Frontier Theater
The New Frontier Theater in Araneta City, Cubao is a roughly 1,800-seat theatre sitting a few minutes' walk from the Smart Araneta Coliseum. It has carried three names in living memory — it was renamed the Kia Theatre under a naming-rights deal in 2015 and reverted afterwards — and locals still use both interchangeably. That mid-size capacity is its reason for existing: it is the room a touring act books when the Big Dome next door would be too big and a bar would be too small. Mid-size international tours, OPM concerts, comedy specials, film premieres and the occasional musical all land here.
